At Sober House, Inc. we help residents grow through 12-step meetings, goal-setting, spiritual growth, giving back to the community and compassion. We provide clean, affordable and safe housing in good neighborhoods.

Massachusetts sober houses are certified by theMassachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing, or MASH. Vanderburgh House began operating sober living homes in 2016. Since then, Vanderburgh House has contributed to the recovery community in many neighborhoods, strengthening and supporting the recovery community through promoting truly remarkable sober living. MASH maintains a master list of all sober homes that it has certified in Massachusetts.

The Pittsfield Sober House and Wilson Sober House are both located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and offer a structured and recovery-focused sober living program for men in their recovery journey. Vineyard House is a residential facility in Vineyard Haven for Islanders in early recovery from substance use. It was founded as a nonprofit organization in 1997 and provides its residents with support systems as well as housing. The NUWAY Alliance is a nonprofit organization created in October 2019 to provide leadership, innovation, and recovery access in response to national and local trends in behavioral healthcare. It provides overarching leadership and management to NUWAY®, the NUWAY Recovery Foundation,Cochran Recovery Services, andThe Gables. Additionally, the NUWAY Alliance is available to partner with aligned organizations needing leadership and management to support recovery access. Not only does The Anthony House and its residents benefit from the standards that MASH has provided, we also gain access to the years of experience and know-how that many contributors have provided.

Doc’s Recovery House

Their medical and clinical directors guide individuals through an assessment to determine which drug and alcohol treatment fits best. ASAM’s criteria uses mash sober living six dimensions to create a holistic, biopsychosocial assessment of an individual to be used for planning and treatment across all levels of care.
